Logline: A 4-minute music video for the band West 22nd.
Budget: $3,000
My Responsibilities: For Laugh It Off, I was responsible for creating the initial budget estimate, revising it as needed, and tracking expenses throughout production. I communicated with all departments to ensure they stayed within budget and remained updated on progress. Additionally, I secured and locked locations for the shoot while coordinating equipment reservations to ensure all necessary gear was available.
What I Learned: This was the first project where I worked with a Co-Producer, and I gained valuable experience in efficiently dividing tasks and collaborating within a production team under intense time constraints—we had only two weeks for pre-production. On top of that, we were also co-producing another music video, Savannah, on the same deadline, which meant constantly shifting between projects, filling in where the other couldn’t, and maintaining clear communication about our progress. Juggling both productions taught me how to multitask effectively and adapt quickly to evolving needs. Additionally, our team was spread across the U.S., with the director in Austin, my co-producer in Houston, and me in Florida for a week before returning to Austin, while the rest of the crew was scattered nationwide. This challenged me to communicate efficiently through digital platforms, reinforcing the importance of clear and effective remote collaboration.
