JANUARY WINTER

Released December, 2023

Short Film, Drama

Logline: A young woman, now grown, reflects on a pivotal moment from her past when a kind stranger stepped into her life during a time of unimaginable loss, and how that act of compassion shaped her journey toward healing and understanding.

Budget: $400

My Responsibilities: I wrote, produced, and co-directed this film. I focused on locking the crew, securing locations, and overseeing the production schedule to ensure everything ran smoothly. Additionally, I worked closely with the creative team to maintain the vision of the project, managed the budget, and coordinated logistics for the shoot.

What I learned: Through this project, I gained a deeper understanding of the pros and cons of rushing a film. With only two weeks to turn around the entire project (writing, pre-production, production, and post), I noticed the impact it had on the quality of the final product, which fell short of my true potential. However, this experience taught me valuable lessons in managing stress, problem-solving under pressure, and handling tight budgets.
